Styrofoam logos refer to logos or branding elements that are created using expanded polystyrene foam, commonly known as Styrofoam. Styrofoam is a lightweight and versatile material that is often used for packaging, insulation, and crafting purposes. It is composed of about 95% air, making it an excellent choice for creating large and intricate logo designs.

Creating Styrofoam logos typically involves a process called CNC foam cutting. A computer numerical control (CNC) machine is used to precisely carve and shape the Styrofoam material according to the desired design. The machine follows a digital template or design file to accurately replicate the logo’s shape, curves, and details. This process allows for the production of logos with sharp edges, intricate patterns, and complex three-dimensional designs.

Once the Styrofoam logo is cut, it can be further customized and finished based on specific requirements. Some common techniques include:

  1. Coating: The Styrofoam logo can be coated with various materials to enhance its appearance and durability. Options include fiberglass, resin, or a protective hard coating. These coatings provide a smooth and sturdy surface and can be painted or finished with different textures.
  2. Painting: Styrofoam logos can be painted using acrylic paints or other suitable coatings. The paint adheres well to the foam surface, allowing for vibrant colors and intricate details.
  3. Texture and finish: Depending on the desired effect, different textures and finishes can be applied to the Styrofoam logo. It can be sanded, polished, or given a specific texture such as stone, wood, or metal through various techniques.
  4. Mounting and installation: Styrofoam logos can be mounted or installed in different ways depending on their size and purpose. They can be attached to walls, freestanding structures, or display bases using adhesives, fasteners, or other suitable mounting methods.

Styrofoam logos are commonly used in various settings such as trade shows, exhibitions, retail displays, signage, and corporate events. They provide a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to heavier materials like metal or wood while allowing for intricate designs and customization options.

Styrofoam desk logos, also known as foam desk logos, are customized branding elements that are made from expanded polystyrene foam (commonly known as Styrofoam). These logos are designed to be placed on desks or other flat surfaces to promote a brand or company.

Here are some key points about Styrofoam desk logos:

  1. Material: Styrofoam is a lightweight and versatile material that is easy to shape and manipulate. It is made by expanding polystyrene beads with the use of heat and pressure. Styrofoam has excellent thermal insulation properties and is widely used for packaging and insulation purposes.
  2. Customization: Styrofoam desk logos can be created in various shapes, sizes, and designs according to the specific branding requirements of a company. They can be cut into different letters, symbols, or intricate designs to match the logo or branding elements of a business.
  3. Brand promotion: Styrofoam desk logos serve as effective marketing tools by showcasing a company’s logo or brand identity. Placing these logos on desks or reception counters can help create brand recognition and leave a lasting impression on clients, visitors, or employees.
  4. Cost-effective: Styrofoam is relatively inexpensive compared to other materials used for desk logos, such as metal or acrylic. This makes it a cost-effective option for businesses, especially for promotional purposes, trade shows, or short-term events.
  5. Lightweight and portable: Due to its lightweight nature, Styrofoam desk logos are easy to transport and move around. This makes them suitable for businesses that frequently participate in events or exhibitions and need portable branding materials.
  6. Customizable finishes: Styrofoam desk logos can be further customized with various finishes to enhance their appearance and durability. Common options include painting, laminating, or adding a protective coating to make the logos more resistant to wear and tear.

3D Logos Polystyrene With A foamPVC Face

3D logos were made from polystyrene. Foamex faced, Painted in a purple Pantone 2627c.
1500mm long, 50mm thick. Painted polystyrene is an ideal solution for the production of logos for use in exhibitions.

The customer supplied the artwork as a vector logo which was perfect for use on our cutters.

One vector logo was supplied in a PDF file which we imported and then resized and cut a number of times for the production of multiple logos.

The polystyrene logos were then painted in two layers of vinyl matt emulsion. We recommend using Dulux paints because of their consistent quality of colour and opacity. Dulux has consistently been able to match Pantone colours to their vinyl matt emulsion paints by custom mixing the colours to our needs.
